Is it bad for an insurance agent to work from home?
Does it affect his career interests? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

The major insurance areas that you may cover working from home could be travel insurance, auto insurance, life insurance and health insurance. All you'd need to have is an online connectivity back home, so that you may communicate with your clients. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Hi..
There are quite a few other kinds of insurance policies that you may sell while you're working from home. But in order to create a good market you should concentrate on any one product first.
Once you have enough experience on your side, then you'd be in a better position to develop your home-based agency. Pinkfloydfan _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Insurance carriers would prefer that you have enough knowledge about cars (body parts and their functions) if you wish to sell car insurance.
The same thing applies for a travel insurance seller. This happens since it is natural for someone knowledgeable to assess the needs of the client as well as their concerns. _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

| I know there are a few major providers that you will not be able to land contracts with by working from home. Getting a small suite may be the way to go, especially in today's market. |

Are you pointing to carriers who're operating across the U.S.? Are these carriers operating in Auto, Life and health only? _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

Could anyone give me some information about how to get started selling insurance from home. I am licensed in L&H and P&C and would love to be able to do business from my house.
Thanks!!! _________________ Register Now to have your Insurance queries solved. |

| Working from home could bring success, but you'd need to spend long hours. Closing a deal might take 2-3 meetings. If you already have a strong network of friends you'll grow faster, otherwise you'd need to work harder to achieve things. Also make sure you have a smooth online connection at your place. |

I would suggest that most agents work from home, in some degree. Given the nature of the business, clients needing you at all hours of the day, it can only be assumed that an agent will be doing business from the house at some point. _________________ Aaron
