| We have a householder's policy, which covers my refrigerator, among other things. It is 7 years old now and in a bad condition. If it breaks down now, will I be able to make a claim? Is compensation given if the reason for breakdown is normal wear and tear? Or, does this policy cover only accidental breakdown? |

All losses must be 'sudden and accidental', most are 'named perils' meaning the damage had to be caused by one of the perils named in the policy.
