| I suppose more or less you have to pay the same amount with other insurance providers. Its better to take it from waged worker and try the consultant of the company to get the best possibility if any. |

|
|
Are there pre existing conditions? If you are under a BCBS individual family plan you are probably paying a market value for the benefits you are being provided. You may be able to cut your cost, however this will come at a high price when it comes to the coverages you will have at your disposal. Also, under these circumstances you would most likely be subject to any pre existing condition exclusions (depending on state, etc) There may be other options depending on income and regional location. I would contact your state health insurance advocate. If you are unaware of this contact let me know the state in which you reside and I can provide a link.

| Wow that is an awful lot. This makes me see that the health care my hubbys employer gives us is a blessing. I don't know how anyone could afford to pay this every month. Benefits gives good advise about contacting your state advocate. I really wish they would try to give people a break when it comes to paying health care costs. Some of the fees are past ridiculous. |

That rate leads me to believe someone in the family has had a risk re-assesment due to a claim. If this is the situation, switching to annother policy might prove difficult for that family member, but that does not mean that everyone else in the family can't switch to a cheaper policy and save a lot of money.
Make sure for any new policy that your doctor and local hospital are in their PPO network before changing and also never cancel your current policy before you are issued the new policy. _________________ http://newagentsolutions.ampminsure.org |

Fierce competition will push insurance companies that overprice their products out of the market. Similarly, insurance companies that make losses year after year by offering cheap products will eventually have to withdraw the products.
Most insurance companies would have made thorough research when pricing their products so that they don't end up in neither of the abovementioned 2 categories.
In fact, it is quite difficult to have apple-to-apple comparison between products offered by 2 different companies. Price may not be the only factor to consider. There are other factors involved such as coverage etc.
If a customer's primary concern is price, he may buy an insurance policy from you this year and lapse it next year to get a cheaper product elsewhere.
In making customer loyal to you, there are factors other than pricing. _________________ I am an insuranc sales coach for almost 2 decades. I have a collection of insurance agents' sales stories. To know more, you can visit http://www.stories-connect.com or http://xoseph.wordpress.com |

Well to start off bcbs is usually priced 20% higher than every other plan. You should definitely begin to shop for a plan with the same benefits and you will see that. However, what you are paying is average but u could get it down to about 7-800 per month

| Did anyone see that TV ad about McCain charging income taxes on the health care benefits you recieve? I think this is absurd. Why would he even consider something like this? Probaly to pay for the uninsured but gosh do I get tired of the middle class paying for everything. My hubby risks his life everyday going to an underground mine ao we can have good benefits and now they want to tax us? |
