| CA law on cancellation of individual medical policy holders for non-payment--how many days does the subscriber have legally before an insurance company can cancel their policy without recourse. |

| Well, I guess the terms and conditions for cancelling the plan are described in your policy document. Hence, browsing through it may clarify your doubts. |

Well, I guess normally you have 30 days time to reinstate the policy after receiving the policy cancellation notification from the insurer. After that the coverage will automatically get terminated.

Yup, but you can reinstate the policy if you want by paying the premium for the entire period.
Cancellation of an insurance policy for non-payment may cast a negative impact on your insurability. In future you may face problems in getting a health plan for this reason. Also, no-one can guarantee that you'll not develop any pre-existing health condition that may reduce your chances of getting covered. Hence, try to reinstate the plan if you can and ensure peace of mind. |
